Consistently delivering an ocean of rhythmic, seductive and energetic symphony, Claudia evokes sounds of reflection with an array of music that draws from the sum of all her parts. Deeply rooted in the golden era of Mexican music and traditions from the deserts Sonora to the tropics of Veracruz, she navigates through time and across continents to create a very distinct sound.

Claudia is a singer, dancer and songwriter, born in Los Angeles, and raised by Mexican and Jamaican parents in New York where she studied both music and dance from a very early age. Niece of Jamaican reggae icon Tyrone “Garth” Evans of The Paragons, she followed her uncle's musical footsteps has recorded/toured the US/Mexico as lead singer with Afro-Mexican band Jarana Beat, and Latin Grammy Award winning/Grammy nominated all female mariachi band, Flor de Toloache.

Over the years she has studied voice with Don Lawrence, Gema Corredera, and Claude Stein, dance/flamenco with Sonia Olla and Torombo Suarez, son jarocho with countless maestros including Rubí Oseguera, Los Vega and Andrés Flores.

In the Spring of 2019 Claudia headlined the closing of the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum after having returned from a successful tour in Andalucía, Spain, and in 2021 she launched her first single entitled "Fall in Time" with guest appearances by Grammy winner John Benitez and Latin Grammy winner, Felipe Fournier.

Her musical journey has led her to collaborations with the likes of Arturo O'Farril's Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, Dan Zanes, and Sonia de los Santos and has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, Joe’s Pub, SXSW, Pregones Theatre, El Museo del Barrio, the Kennedy Center, and the Shanghai Expo. She was also co-founder, outreach director, dancer and teacher with Calpulli Mexican Dance Company.

Whether she’s providing the percussive heartbeat of the music while dancing on her “tarima” or delivering a personal story with her voice, it’s an emotional journey inward that she reaches towards with her audience, invoking profound essences of Chavela, Gal, Nina, Buckley and more. Claudia is now joining artistic forces with Latin Grammy Award winning producer Felipe Fournier (Costa Rica) to create a very telling debut production, so stay tuned!
